Whilst I have learned with satisfaction that Her Majesty has been graciously pleased to approve of the medal being worn on special occasions, I fear that the restriction imposed that it may only be worn within the limits of "the Colony will not be received with equal satisfaction by those, whose services in connection with an event of unique Imperial importance it is thus proposed to recognise.

I would therefore respectfully submit that the restriction may be reconsidered, as its removal would, I feel sure, greatly enhance the value of an honour
